So, I’m writing a novel and I’m looking to get it published.
Turns out, Iām not half bad at writing, and I actually enjoy it. And recently I just finished the first draft of a young adult novel on time travel. Time travel seems to be all the rage right now. This story, in its entirety, came to me in a dream. The details I later had to add or change, but it was very easy to do, as the characters have such personalities, I felt like all I was doing was tagging along as an eye witness and recording exactly what was happening.
Over the course of the next several blog entries, I will be uploading teasers. I hope to grab the attention of a passing agent or publisher, as this story is very captivating, and I believe it deserves large scale distribution. But I hope to generate your interest as well, the general public. And, it goes without saying Iām illustrating the book, because, itās what I do, and Iām deeply passionate about this project.
So passionate, in fact, that I did something crazy and started a new YouTube channel. Titled āStory Time with Benjaminā I intend to actually read segments of the book to you, as I illustrate it āReading Rainbowā style.
More on this story in future entries, but for now, hereās a quick synopsis to get you excited about the adventure:
At a high school for gifted kids, tucked behind the hogbacks of the Rocky Mountains, five students and the Professor gather together after school to try and figure out time travel. Using their mental abilities and talents, they crack the code and set out to tour the time fabric. When something goes terribly wrong, itās up to the combined wit of a few students, the clues in an obscure painting, and a trip across the world, to ultimately save their friends.
