Praise. How powerful an action. It seems to me that before God begins to work in miraculous ways, His people engage in praise and worship first. The walls of Jericho did not topple down until seven days of praise. Praise puts us in a proper place before God, as we turn to Him and recognize His incredible goodness and truth.
And what an appropriate time to release this painting! How exciting are the reports of spontaneous praise starting to flame up all over the country right now! When I first was given this imagery, Asbury had not crossed my radar yet (I don’t recall if it had started or not, but I hadn’t heard of it). It’s amazing how in God’s timing, all of these parts are starting to come together independently of each other.
If we want to see God move in this country, if we want to see God change people’s hearts, restore their lives, bring clarity to their minds, and remove their depression, confusion, and deception, then we need to come to Him first in humility and praise. Come, feel the breath of God, and let your life be transformed!
In case you miss the symbolism, in the rock cliff we have a man praising God on the shofar. Behind him are swirling colors. This is likened to when Elijah stood in a cave and God passed by as a still soft voice. (1 Kings 19). The swirling colors mist away as they rise up, representing holy incense, as the Bible also says that our prayers are like bowls of incense before the Lord. (Revelation 5:8, Psalms 141:2) Finally, if you look closely, the rocks themselves represent a face with an open mouth, as if the rocks themselves are praising God. (Isaiah 55:12, Luke 19). #christianart#christianartist#bibleart#praisethelord#worship#acrylicpainting#symbolicart
