In case there was any confusion about where your liver is located, here’s a handy little chart. And it just so happens that I made a “Your Liver is Here” tee-shirt with this design on it. As you may well know, I have PSC, which is an auto-immune disease affecting the liver. Most likely had it all my life, though I was diagnosed when I was 14. And when you are 14, all of your peers ask you where your liver is located. In an effort to bring about a little humor, and in the style of the vintage Gray’s Anatomy illustrations of the early 1800s, I penned this design as a class demo on pen and ink technique.
Of course, I made a tee shirt. Of course! And here I am modeling said tee shirt. I cringe at how frail and thin my body is in these pictures, but that is the result of many years battling the ravages of liver failure. Hey, at least it’s authentic.
